Description:
Allow player to enable additional holy sites for other religions.

Rules to add holy site.

  • Player needs to control it.
  • Player pays piety. (it is configurable)

Removing holy site set it back to vanilla setting. (so holy site of default religions) (it is free of cost)
By default menu in decision is hidden, so first it should be shown by taking decision "Show holy site decisions" .

Cost calculation
There are 4 factors.

  • (H)oly sites count. Number of additional (Above 5) holy sites.
  • (B)ase cost: Const cost. If set "1000". Cost will be 1000, 1000, 1000, 1000 etc. (so it stay the same).
  • (I)ncremental factor. Incremental cost for every additional holy site. if set as "1000" Cost will be 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 (so it grows).
  • (M)ultiply factor. Multiply base cost for each additional Holy site. For example if set "2" it will double, giving cost 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000 etc. (so it escalate quicker than linear incremental cost). Recommended value is small number above 1. (Below 1 will decrease cost).

Final cost is: ( B * (M ^ H) ) + (I * H)
Cost can be changed anytime in game menu (by decision "Change cost of adding holy site").
In new game costs will be Base = 1000, Incremental = 500, Multiply = 1 (no affecting calculation). Giving costs: 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, … If you are tired to change it in game, you could edit mod file. It can be find in (mod dir)commonscript_values.txt

How does it work? Why it is only "kind of"?
There is no modding option to add/remove holy sites. Paradox didn’t create any feature to do something like that.
This mod is closest to that experience what I could do. It fakes adding/removing holy site, by adding copy of all sites to all religions. Initially such holy site is not active. Player need to control holy site to take decision to "add"/"remove" it. Player decision to "add" make it active, "remove" make it inactive. It become global (for all religion) holy site. But, because it’s in player control, it seams like it is just enabled for player.
To avoid double bonuses (original + copy) original holy site is (de)activate in opposite way to copy.
I’m not sure about all effect that so many/new holy sites can have on game (balance / performance / build-in events). This is why I keep revert holy_site to vanilla free, so is can be rollbacked.

Installation/Uninstall:
[Add] It requires new game. I think it will not work on old saves.
[Remove] Before uninstall this mod, please revert all holy_sites to vanilla setting first.

Compatibility
It changes religion definitions files like:
00_christianity.txt
00_islam.txt
… (and all others from religionreligions)
So it will not be compatible with mods also changing them. :((
Mod will also not include new religions and holy_sites added by other mods. :((
