Epitaph
Lest we forget.
Add epitaphs to the game. When you buried your hero in a grave / sarcophagus, you’re able to choose or write an inscription to memorialize them.
1. As you can see in the screenshot, the new Epitaph Tab of the grave / sarcophagus shows the departed’s name, birthday, death date and service time.
2. Below lies the inscription, it’s auto-generated like art description. From general epitaphs like "Until We Meet Again" to pawn related (based on their traits, age, records etc). There’re nearly 300 lines now and I’m still trying to add more. I hope it can provide more immersion for the story.
3. You can edit and type in whatever you want as an inscription via the "edit" button at upper-right corner. You can also re-randomize one if you don’t like the generated one.
4. (1.5) You can edit other lines now.
It’s a lightweight add-on, I expect it compatible with mostly everything. Generally, modded graves are also supported. If you can’t see a tab named "Epitaph" for modded graves, leave me a message.
Most of them are quoted from poems, lyrics, inscriptions, last words, wide spread epitaphs etc. I just collect them, of course I do write, rephrase and adjust a lot to make it fit in Rimworld style. Hope you enjoy the charm of the tragedy.
