Use the Drag Reducer Block to remove drag from creations.
This mod also contains aids for checking the Center of Mass, Weight and Thrust of a creation.
Make propellers, planes, helicopters, whatever you can imagine!
This is the first and only working wings mod for Scrap Mechanic.
All the wings have lift proportional to their area (of the model, yes). There are no stronger or weaker ones.
The normal force on the wing is calculated using this formula:
F = v² * airDensity * area * 0.5 * sin(a)
airDensity = 2.75, but this may change.
Wings don’t have additional drag.
Tips:
1. Using multiple Angled Small Thing Airfoils is better for propellers because of the way lift calculations are done.
This way you can generate more thrust.
2. To avoid having lag and collision lag, use as few modular wing parts as possible. Always build big wings with the largest possible panels, avoid having many small parts, etc.
