Minimalist Map Mod Lite
Lite version of Minimalist Map Mod by AndrewDraws (published with consent). All credits go to Andrew and the other people credited in the original mod:

This version is trimmed down to fit the vanilla map and is ironman compatible.
It is mostly compatible with Random New World: it works, but parts of the graphics revert back to the default. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.
For those wanting sea borders, try this advice by typedeck.
In map/terrain (in the mod directory):
1. delete border0.dds and border0corner.dds
2. make two copies of border1.dds
3. rename one of the copies border0.dds
4. rename the other one border0corner.dds
