Description:
Love TUP? Love TROM? But hate that those two mods are not compatible? NOT ANYMORE!

This mod is a complete reworking of the core components of TROM, rebuilt from the ground up to be compatible with TUP (and many more mods). It was not possible to 1:1 port of TROM, but required a full rebuild to make compatible with TUP. Features of TROM are unique unit rosters, unique officer skills, troop vs officer rebalance, campaign overhaul.

Enjoy the 500+ unique generals from TUP, along with excellent TROM changes like new units, new factionwide sub cultures with unique army rosters.

○ Officers max level 15
○ More variation in generic officer skill trees
○ New unlockable units that only certain officers can recruit (all generals have a purpose!)
○ TROM style balance of troops vs officers, officers are weaker than vanilla
○ New factionwide unit rosters
○ Full Records mode support, with bodyguard units and new playstyles
○ Limited siege weapons, only certain officers can recruit special siege equipment
○ Alternative unit cards not supported.

Han factions have new sub-rosters, all major factions fall into one of the below categories. Some factions do not have access to all types of high tier units, and require you to find generals who’s special units can help fill that need.

Han Loyalist Forces – Well balanced and versatile. Good availability of both light and medium units in all categories of infantry, ranged, and cavalry.
Yuan Clan Forces – Heavy shielded sword infantry. Strong armored melee cavalry. Weak ranged support. Fields conscripted peasants instead of militia for light troops. Complete access to heavy troops of all types; infantry, ranged, cavalry.
Empire’s Edge Forces – Jungle adept medium infantry and light ranged units from multiple cultures. Excellent availability of short and long ranged weapons. Some heavy spear infantry. Limited availability of heavy cavalry.
Western Liang Forces – Excellent fatigue resistant cavalry and melee infantry able to endure in snow and desert battlefield conditions. Limited availability of heavy shielded infantry.
Northern Frontier Forces – Powerful and versatile melee and ranged cavalry, supported with lightly armored assault infantry. Standard ranged support. Limited availability of heavy shielded infantry.
Warlord Forces – Well balanced and versatile. Excellent availability of medium units in all categories of infantry, ranged, and cavalry. Well supplied units with additional ammunition and morale for their cost.

Unit Tiers

Indicator icons on unit card indicate unit quality
T1 Militia – 20 to 25 morale.
T2 Trained Buqu – 28 to 38 morale. Heavy variants have more armor.
T3 Elite, Dragon and Imperial – 50 to 100 morale. Some elites are limited special units unique to character or faction

All officers serve a purpose now, even generics. Check the skill trees and the special units to see what each officer can do!

○ Officers have a 4th skill tree row that is unique to them. Even generic officers will have a special type of 4th row.
○ Officers recruit 1-2 special units, limited to that general. Over 550+ officers have access to special units like upgraded juggernauts that can lay oil traps, elite wall scaling assault infantry, bomb slingers, barbarian mercenaries and more! The more officers you employ that have access to that special unit unlocks more availability factionwide.
○ TROM’s excellent officer abilities included, throwing fire bombs, ect.
○ TROM style balance of troops vs officers, meaning officers are weaker than vanilla vs troops
○ Most AOE skills limited use per battle

Incredible amount of tweaks to the overall campaign side of the game and battle rules.

○ TROM style battles (slightly longer, larger difference in power of unit tiers).
○ AI improvements
○ Supply matters, expanded effects from supply
○ Reforms overhaul, improved weak reforms, removed building requirements and reduced turn times for tech down from 5 to 4 (this helps the AI).
○ Buildings overhaul. Useless buildings now have a function (grain silos), almost every building tree now has adjacency bonuses to consider when planning your commandaries.
○ Commandaries no longer have 1 single optimal way to build for max income due the the expanded adjacency bonus.
○ Peasant income rebalanced, you need high population if you want to make a lot of peasant tax income.
○ Siege weapons in battles are limited. More sieges of cities will last more than 1 turn.
○ Commander officers have access to more units, improving their appeal.

Do NOT run the original mods (TROM, MTU, TUP)

These mods are not required, but add fun biography, story, and interactions between characters or improve performance. These mods do not make balance changes
