LNER Gresley A4 Pacific
So this feels like its kind of overdue. We’ve had A4s in the game since launch, but the vanilla version is recycled from as far back as Train Fever, I think? And its showing its age. Both SteveM4 and myself have released mods using the original vanilla model as a base and sort of dressed it up a little, but really it was overdue for an A4 mod built from scratch.
I had the itch to do some modelling, and I figured that a streamlined locomotive would be a fun challenge, so here we are 😛 It was a pain, but tultimately I’m really happy with the result, and I’m sure you all will be too. ^.^

-LNER A4 in 6 liveries across 2 variants.
-Liveries include LNER Green, LNER Garland Blue, LNER Silver Jubilee, LNER Wartime Black, BR Blue & BR Green.
-Pre- and post-war variants with side valances included/removed where suitable.
-Second tender/canteen included for all liveries for preservation-style setups.
-Full aging and recolour support. Detailed dirt and rust accumulates as the engine ages.
– Engines are sorted in a single depot menu to reduce purchase menu clutter. Canteens are sorted to appear in a seperate menu just under the A4 engines soas to keep them together.
-Reverse variants of all included engines.
-Small file size (~80mb) and .dds compressed textures, to help with load speed.
-Lods to reduce GPU load (Meshes are ~ 36k tris as well – should be potato PC-friendly)
-Placeable rail assets (also with lods) allowing placement of the full engine, or just the tender or locomotive if you wish.
-Moddable engine numbers – edit the number of the train and the number will display on the side of the locomotive.
–Randomised nameplates! All engines, when built, will be given a randomised nameplate from 88 possible options drawn from historic names/renames of A4 locomotives. All nameplates come in a silver and black or red and gold option. Across all liveries and variants and names/nameplates, that’s over 1500 unique combinations!

-Available until 2100 (due to the A4s surviving into preservation)
