Description:

Adds a new negative +7 points perk named Schizophrenia which offers a completely different experience for new and old players alike, Project Zomboid is key for its sound effects and sound ques to tell you if something is right or wrong. with this trait it completely turns the play style upside down.

Features:
  • Everything may not be how it seems. Sometimes the sounds you hear might not actually be real.
  • All Schizophrenia attacks are linked to your Stress, the more stress you have the more attacks you will have leading to more stress. balancing your stress is key.
  • Night terrors and attacks may keep your character up at night.
  • Experiencing the death of a comrade is traumatizing, but ever wonder how it would be for someone who is mentally ill? watching a comrade die with this trait will lead your character to have a mental meltdown.
  • Has a nice little custom graphic for the trait icon that suits the games art style.
  • Laughing to yourself and screaming are a common occurrence depending on your stress level
  • Visual hallucinations of zombies which do not exist may occur. Read Q&A for more details

Questions And Answers:

Q1: Will this work for multiplayer?
A1: As of ver 1.2, MP should be fixed. please be sure to report any issues. I will be stalking the comments section.

Q2: Would this work for Build 40?
A2: No, this mod uses new methods which are only in B41.

Q3: How do I manage the effects of the trait?
A3: As of update VER 1.6, the medication Chlorpromazine will help treat the trait, make sure to properly dose your character otherwise it can cause death in worst cases.

Q4: Can I make a edit to this mod and post it on the workshop?
A4: At the moment, I request that you do not make an edit of this mod and republish it on the workshop. this may change in future if I decide to abandon the mod and if it does ill will note it here. thank you for your support!

Q5: So whats up with visual hallucinations?
A5: As of Version 2.0 visual hallucinations are included within the mod. For the best experience for this mod, I recommend playing single player as the hallucinations work best there. Multiplayer has shown a variety of issues for the hallucinations resulting in it being unreliable in its consistency. This does not mean that I don’t support multiplayer compatibility, however, keep in mind this is not my code that is causing the issues, it’s the limitations of the engine itself ( Or maybe i’m just not thinking outside the box enough). This will not cause any errors when playing in multiplayer and in some cases the hallucinations will work without any issues.

Q6: How would I go around having a translation added?
A6: If you speak the language you can either add me on steam or take a look at the translation thread. if you decide to add me on steam please comment on my profile with why you are adding me because I deny most people who don’t give me a reason to add them.

Q7: Can I put this mod in a mod pack?
A7: You are free to put this mod in a pack however please keep my mod up to date, As long as you keep my mod up to date and leave credit ( A link to this mod page and my name in the description ) I do not mind at all.
