Winter Taiga Biome

Welcome to my first ever biome mod! This adds a unique vanilla-friendly Permanent Winter Forest biome with unique Trees, Bushes and other flora that changes appearance between Summer to Winter! These trees and flora are only exclusive to this biome, and will not conflict with any other biomes, modded or otherwise.

I was always bothered by Boreal Forests never delivering on the "harsh winters" comment, mostly to do with the flora and trees not being covered by snow during winter. So I decided to make my own biome mod to fulfil my own desire of a Winter Forest.

Mod Version: 1.02 [7/31/22]
-Now requires Expandable Plants, please place it above the mod to prevent errors.
-All trees will now grow under -300C temperature
(Keep in mind that while this will allow them to grow in the winter, new trees won’t spawn until Expandable Plants adds that property, if they ever choose to. If they do, then I will update this mod to include it.)
(Growth temperature multiplier will also still affect it, but to a much lesser degree)

-Trees no longer require resting and can grow at any light level above 51%
-Increased tree spawnrate, growth rate from 20 days to 15 and corrected fetility sensitivity
-Removed redundant animals like Tortoises and added fitting animals like Elks and Caribous

– Added 1.4 support, please download Mlie’s "Expandable Biomes (Continued)" mod so no issues occur!
– Added better support for Polluted terrain & tiles, trees and flora will now become toxified when polluted, just like in vanilla.
– Added support for ReGrowth’s tox-animals!

This mod adds the following flora, they are exclusive only to this biome and will not appear in any other biome.

ReGrowth Remastered: Core
The ReGrowth series was a major inspiration to this mod, ReGrowth Core adds a couple of amazing weather effects that compliment the nature of this mod, such as Blizzards!

Raspberries from the mod will also spawn in the cold soil parts of the biome.

Water Freezes
Watching water freeze actively as the temperature drops lower and lower adds a lot to the freezing feel this biome has.

Combat Extended Compatible. Unless you have a mod that turns trees into pawns. Does that even exist?
Biome Mods Should work with any other biome mod, however take note that having too many biomes can sometimes overwrite others in world generation that’s 30% or under.

Empire
I added in a little patch that changes the stats for the biome you settle in.

Vanilla Fishing Expanded
Fishing in the lakes will grant you cold biome fish

Vanilla Plants Expanded
Bearberries from Vanilla Expanded Plants will grow on the Cold Soil parts of the Biome

World Beautification Project
The trees that are present within this mod will show up on the world map alongside the hills, mountains and other world tiles.
