Voronezh OGPU (Secret police)
The building of the secret police (state security service) for 30 employees and 8 parking spaces. The real prototype of the historical building of the Voronezh OGPU built in 1933 was taken as a basis (with some simplifications).
The United State Political Administration under the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR (OGPU under the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR) – a special body of state security of the USSR, was formed on the basis of the GPU under the NKVD of the RSFSR by a decree of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR of November 15, 1923 after the establishment in 1922 of the USSR – a union of four Soviet republics. The United State Political Directorate was the central agency that operated in the union republics through the departments of the union republics, and in the RSFSR – through the regional departments. The current address of the building is st. Volodarsky, 39, Voronezh.
