Please always unsubscribe and resubscribe from the Vanilla Expanded Framework after an update! More often than not, Steam does not automatically update it and it can lead to issues.

Reinforced Mechanoids, formerly known as "HALO: Rimworld Heretic Mechanoids", is an expansion of vanilla Rimworld mechanoids, adding new threats and gameplay mechanics that perfectly fit into the vanilla game.

Nearly all mechanoids brings something new to table. They have unique abilities, behavior, etc. They are not just new skins for yet another enemy that shoots you.
On top of that, the player gets new mechanoids to build, similar to "Vanilla Factions Expanded – Mechanoids" as well as ancient droids that can be acquired via quests or trades.

Still not done, the mod also adds a new way to produce power, based on an old mod called "Mechanoid Power". All with new code, textures and reworked balance.

And for owners of the Royalty DLC, the mod also adds a way to finally make use of both the weather controller and climate adjuster yourself. Something I always wished I could do!

All comes with vanilla friendly textures, lore text (well, to some degree) and balancing as good as I managed to do it. Everything is integrated into the vanilla game and will feel like it always has been there.























The mod comes with two toogelable patches integrated. Each one can be found in the mod settings of the Vanilla Expanded Framework. The patches are:

Enable ancient mechanoid crafting?: If you want to be able to craft the two ancient mechanoids, you can.
Enable clean mechanoids skins?: If you prefer a clean white texture for them, you can switch them.
Enable classic sounds for Sparten mechanoid shields?: Adds classic sounds from Halo Ce to the Spartan.

The mod has patches included for, or works with:

– Royalty DLC
– Vanilla Factions Expanded – Mechanoids
– Vanilla Factions Expanded – Ancients
– Mechanoid Power (Continued)
– Simple sidearms
– More Mechanoids
– Search and Destroy
– Run and Gun

Other than that, it should work with mods like "What The Hack" by default.

The mod comes with mod settings to:

– Configure the value and power output of the Vanometric Generator.
– Make all mechanoids drop their weapons on death.

Q: Can this mod be added to an existing save?
A: Yes, it can!

Q: I get red errors after enabling the mod!!!???
A: Make sure Steam update the Vanilla Expanded Framework. To do so, unsubscribe from it, wait a few seconds and subscribe again.

Q: The weapons are not fair! Balance them better!
A: Some are meant to not be fair, others might get nerfed if the need arises.

Q: The new mechanoids are unfair.
A: Yes, yes they are. Figure out how to deal with them <3

Q: Are these inspired by Halo?
A: A lot is yes. I love Halo!

Q: Can the player mechanoids use any weapon?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I need Vanilla Factions Expanded – Mechanoids for this mod to work?
A: No! Everything works with just the Vanilla Expanded Framework.

Q: Does Oskars mechanoid faction use them?
A: No! These are made to beef up the ancient mechanoids and make them uniquer.

Q: I got an error or found a bug, what should I do?
A: Do what Squidward tells you!

Q: Is this mod part of Vanilla Expanded?
A: No, it is not.

Q: I use the old mechanoid power mod, can I switch to this one?
A: Yes, I added a patch that lets you convert your old power cells to new ones at the crafting spot.

Q: How do I get the chips or the power cell?
A: By destroying mechanoid structures.

Does it work with Combat Extended?
Idk, I dont use that mod. But its reasonable to assume it needs a patch. I wont make that, as I dont use the mod. Said patch will have to be provided from CE side.
