DESCRIPTIONThe M42A1 "Manticore" is a heavy infantry support vehicle designed by NordahlLunden to serve as a fire support asset for Newquay infantry units. Faced with a serious need for integrated heavy fire support the Newquay army sent out a bid to manufacturers for a tracked heavy fire support vehicle.
NordahlLundens entry eventually won the bid and was adopted as the M42 "Manticore". The A1 upgrade package to the M42 increases the protection due to improved composite armour. The package also increase the lethality of the M42 due to new stabilisation systems and a Hunter-Killer system.
OPERATIONDRIVER
- Flick the MAIN POWER BUS and MONITOR POWER switches in the frontal panel.
- Flick the ENGINE 1 and ENGINE 2 witches in the frontal panel.
- Deactivate parking brake by flicking the RELEASE PARKING BRAKE switch in the frontal panel and shift up from neutral using UP/DOWN.
COMMANDER
- Flick the MONITOR POWER switch in frontal panel.
- To use Hunter-Killer system press TRIGGER, the gunners systems need to be enabled for this to function.
- To use the softkill APS flick the ARM ACTIVE PROTECTION SWITCH switch located in the frontal panel.
GUNNER
- Flick the MONITOR POWER and FIRE CONTROL SYSTEM switches in the frontal panel.
- Flick the MASTER ARM switch in the frontal panel.
