Leviathan Skin and Pearl Armor
Leviathan skin and pearl armor crafting can be researched after reaching normal plate. Starting at pearl smithing leading to leviathan leather, pearl steel alloy, and finally skin imbued plate. There is storage for all of the new items introduced, and even boxes for the pearls, and don’t worry about finding the recipes because they all unlock with the research.
The ashland domes should now have the logs from the scientists that created the Leviathan, along with other subjects, so many years ago, and even some ramblings from cat-lon. (Also a farewell log stashed with the cannibals.)
All leviathan armor gives at least 30% acid resist.

Nobles and their guards have been upgrading to Leviathan Pearl infused armors as well!. And even an ancient enemy thought to be lost to time has been using this armor for centuries!
