Viper Animation Depository [WOTC]
This mod acts as a resource for Viper animations I have made so far, to be used in various mods, and that’s about it.
In a pinned discussion is a list of all animsets and compatible weapons Vipers have animations for currently.
This mod also contains a socket template retaining to the various required sockets for Vipers to be able to use/holster/hold various weapons and such.
This mod also contains the framework to apply all new animations to Vipers and Non-Vipers as well via config, though there are some side effects for doing so, thus read Notes below…
Applying the base Viper animset will break pull and bind animations of Vipers (Binding will play anims as if they were being bound and pulling will play anims as if they were being pulled), And for compatibility’s sake, this mod doesn’t MCO the classes that determine said animations, instead, OPTC-ing the base bind/pull abilities BuildAffectedVisualizationSyncFn and BuildVisualizationFn with custom ones that have Caster animations play for the caster. So it is advised that one has their custom Viper pull/bind use the custom Pull/Bind X2Action files shipped with this mod to properly animate said abilities, use the X2Ability_VAD’s Visualisation functions and switch EnablePullAndBindFix to true in the mod’s XComGame.ini to fix the vanilla bind animations.
Anyone is free to use or modify the animations that this mod contains, provided credit is given of course.
Since this mod’s assets have been cooked, and can no longer be viewed in the UDK, here’s a link[drive.google.com] to the raw content files if you wish to use them in your own mod without having this one as a dependency.
