Description:
Hostile Struggles Re-Enable Holy Wars

Re-enables holy wars within a struggle region when the struggle enters the hostility phase.

Vanilla disables the holy war casus belli within a struggle region when in the conciliation, opportunity, and the hostility phases of a struggle. While it may make sense to disable holy wars during the peaceful and smouldering phases, it’s incongruent to disable them when the belligerent phase breaks out between faiths.

The devs’ expressed some doubts as to whether holy wars should remain disabled during the hostility struggle phase, making a comment in line 333 of ‘commonstrugglesstruggles.txt’ of:
"# not sure if relevant?"

With this mod you can decide the relevancy of hostile holy wars and if the mechanism befits your campaign’s struggles.

Other Struggle Tweaks
  • Visigoth and Suebi cultures have been added to the Iberian struggle. Thanks to Leviathonlx’s More Bookmarks+ (MB+) for the idea.
  • Masmuda custom culture from More Bookmarks+ (MB+) added to the Iberian struggle when playing an MB+ game, again thanks to Leviathonlx.
  • Rabbinism and Converso faiths added to the Iberian struggle, thanks to Noot Noot’s Jewish Iberian Struggle for the idea. Note that vanilla has added Sephardi culture to the Iberian struggle in v1.6.1.
