Originally to be built for the Collins line under the name "Antarctic", She was sold to another shipping line under the name "Oakland" after the company folded.
She was by far the fastest ship in the world at the time, having reached a top speed of a blistering 16 knots!
She served a long career, Being the pride of the United States for over 30 years, Until one day, during one of her voyages, She simply vanished out of existence. No one knows what happened to her, however a ship that was somewhat near by reported hearing what sounded like an explosion.

3: light boiler
4:turn on the autocoalers if you don’t want to shovel it in yourself
5: once steam pressure is up, you should be good to go

OPERATION:
Speed is directly linked to steam pressure. The higher the pressure, the faster you will go.
Speed can be controlled from the engine room, the bridge, and the auxiliary helm.
Steering can be controlled from the bridge, and the auxiliary helm.

FEATURES

-16 knots top speed
-Full interior (Don’t worry, I optimized it as much as I could without compromising the aesthetic design)
-6 Working lifeboats
-Working paddlewheels
-Simulated steam engine
-Working cargo hatches
-4 sink options
-Accommodations for:
64 Saloon class passengers
32 Steerage class passengers
25 Crew members
-Working map
-working fireplace

SINK SWITCHES

-The sink switch is located in the captains cabin at the stern of the ship, as a keypad on the desk.
-Boiler Explosion 1: The forward right boiler explodes and the ship slowly goes down by the head
-Boiler Explosion 2: The aft boilers explode, with enough force to blow the entire ship in half
-Weather Based Split: The ship v-breaks in rough seas
-Weather based Boiler Explosion: Same as Boiler explosion 1, but is caused by the bow slapping down into the ocean particularly hard

EXTRA NOTES

-The weather based sink switches are triggered by the ship hitting particularly harsh water in a rather specific way, so don’t be surprised if it takes a while to trigger, or not trigger at all.
-Paddle steamers don’t really like being broadside to the waves, so it rolls rather easily.
-The ship can be operated at low physics setting, so you can switch to that if your system is struggling to run it.
-The ship may struggle to fully sink with the weather-based sinks. I tried to get it consistent and smooth but the ship’s design makes it very difficult with how flooding works now.
-I did all the testing for the new sink switches with all the doors closed, so having certain doors open may seriously affect how the ship sinks

Inspired by the Collins line steamers.
